Monologue Genius Hub

The Fool-Proof Method for STAND-OUT Monologues

Stop guessing your way through your audition prep,

hoping this time it’ll be ‘enough’…

INSTEAD, get step-by-step training from an expert coach

Oh, friend. I’ve been there.

You’re tired of…

Spending countless hours reading new plays and scouring the internet for the perfect monologue

Rehearsing your monologue over and over alone in your bedroom, wondering if you're getting it right

Getting stuck in patterns, stuck in your head, and doubting your abilities

Getting hit by nerves in the audition room and bombing, even after you worked so hard on your monologue.

Now you’re ready to follow a clear process, get support from a monologue coach, and connect with actors going through the same thing as you.

Monologues need a specific approach…

and you can learn it quickly and easily.

Let me show you how.

Whether you’re working towards

✅ Drama school auditions,

✅ Theatre production auditions,

✅ Festival auditions

✅ Showcases

✅ Or exams…

These techniques have supported my students to nail their monologues in every situation.

It’s your time to shine.

Hi, I’m Sarah Guillot.

I’ve spent the last few years coaching actors towards major auditions like drama schools, festivals, and competitive theatre productions, with amazing results.

Over the last few years, I’ve helped actors all over the world gain recalls and acceptances for places like RADA, LAMDA, Guildhall, Central School of Speech and Drama, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, East 15, Juilliard, Yale, Stella Adler, La Salle College of the Arts (Singapore), Toi Whakaari (NZ) and NIDA and WAAPA (AUS)… to name a few.

PLUS actors getting lead roles and callbacks for competitive theatre productions, and acing their exams.

Over time, I noticed that most actors were struggling with the same things.

Most actors don’t know how to:

  • FIND A MONOLOGUE that’s a good fit for them.
  • Breakdown the text to discover the POWERFUL MOMENTS that will land a punch in the audition room.
  • Connect their voice and body so they can light up the room as a DYNAMIC, COMPELLING performer.
  • Adjust their performance for different styles to showcase their VERSATILITY.
  • Cultivate a playful acting practice so they can stay OPEN and RESPONSIVE, and FREE FROM NERVES in the audition room.

and now, for something completely different…

(Sorry, couldn’t resist the Monty Python reference!)

I’m a Shakespeare specialist… but I originally trained in contemporary performance. (Gasp!)

That means I have a unique perspective when it comes to acting.

My approach combines a detailed focus on text analysis (thank you, Shakespeare) with a practical, get-up-and-move approach to performing the text (from all those years doing physical theatre and devised work)!

I’ve found this method that works perfectly for actors who are early in their career, working on monologues for the first time, or transitioning to theatre after focusing on screen acting.

I’ll lead you through

3 Simple Phases

to creating banger monologues

Phase 1: Analysis

This is all about what really matters when it comes to your prep so you can make your performance STAND OUT.

I’ll show you how to sink your teeth into the play so you can bring your unique take on the character, while still being true to the text.

Given Circumstances

A nuanced performance is all in the details! I give you time-saving tools to help you make powerful acting choices, right from the get-go.

Building the Character

Think in character quickly and easily by creating your character’s rich inner life.

Sections and Connections

Have the panel on the edge of their seat by drawing them into your character’s journey.

Phase 2: Embodiment

Practical exercises to connect psychology and performance – get it in the body! This is text work with a difference.

No more hoping that you’ll connect to emotion – I’ll teach you the techniques that work every time.

Embodying Shape

Now you know the character journey, let’s make sure the audition panel can SEE IT and you can FEEL IT.

Embodying Language

Great writers leave clues, and great actors know how to use them to their advantage. This is the detailed work most actors miss.

Intuitive Movement

How do I ‘block’ my monologue? Spoiler: you don’t! Here’s what you do instead.

Phase 3: Freedom

“Monologue fatigue”: that feeling when you’ve run the gosh darn thing 50 times this week and you’re just OVER IT.

How on earth are you supposed to keep your performance feeling new and exciting when you’ve been working on this monologue for MONTHS?

Oh, there are ways, my friend. I got all the tricks for you to keep it fun and fresh.

Outward Focus

“Acting is reacting” – here’s how to get out of your head when you’re working solo.

Handling Redirection

Never fear, a whacky redirection from the panel becomes easy when it’s part of your regular practice, and I’ll show you how.

Powerful Practice

Your final step: plan your rehearsal practice and how you’ll handle the big day. This starts with getting your mindset right, and building in those habits that make you feel like a pro every day.
